MNSi requires DSL customers who are changing their local phone service to contact the MNSi Customer Service department prior to switching their local phone service to a different provider. Without updated phone service provider information (ie. circuit number, activation date, current phone number), the customer's DSL service may have an interruption in service. |

As of March 13, 2007, MNSi requires that customers login when accessing Usenet newsgroup services, either via NNTP or HTTP. The format of the username is slightly different for Dialup vs High Speed customers. Use of the incorrect username suffix will result in poor performance.
- For Dialup: username@mnsi.net
- For High Speed: username@mnsi.net-hs
The regular password used with your MNSi email address must be used. If you require assistance in making this change with your newsreader, please contact our technical support. We are available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our contact info can be found here. |

| As of June 17, 2006, people working or living in the 519 and 613 area codes in Ontario have to dial 10 digits - the area code followed by the 7-digit phone number for all local calls. For our customers using dial-up service, the phone number entered in your internet connection has to be corrected to use the 10-digit format. You can get more information about the change in your local calling by going to www.dial10.ca. If you require assistance in changing these settings on your computer, please contact our technical support, we are available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. MNSi has started labelling messages that appear to be junk mail as "Possible SPAM". Follow the link below for instructions on how to automatically filter these messages into a folder for storing junk mail. This system is effective and highly accurate. However, it is strongly recommended you investigate these messages before you delete them so you do not risk deleting real mail! |
